Carving has been in my blood for a long time…about 30 years…

My first carvings in my youth were of small boats. I made them to float when the snow thaws came in my home town in Upper Wisconsin.
Since that time, I started carving clocks, and signs for gifts. Then, about 3 months ago, my good friend, Mark (who designs these great websites), suggested taking this to the next step…

Now I thrill my Physical Therapy patients with an endless supply of Wood Carvings to critique before they go onto the website or to someone’s home. Talk about a rough crowd!!!

I have taught a few classes on Deep Relief Carving, which is my favorite type of carving. Nothing like a sharp gouge slicing good wood into a barn or a custom sign.

Lucky for me, my wife is tolerant of mountains of wood chips in the living room!
