My dad is just as responsible/influential for two carvers existence as my friend Mark Johnson or my mom. My dad was our wood finder, wood cutter and at times our worst critic on our carvings. He set up my mom's booth at carving shows and also for the whole art group in Hurley Wisconsin at local shows. He was my hero growing up and still is...

My dad enjoyed working with his hands in wood and especially in metal, he held over 20 some patents for exercise equipment and still made sure that our table saw and band saw was always in sharp working order...He passed away August 2013 from Kidney cancer. It has been hard to make a blank or even pick up a tool since then.

But now, 2015, my mom and I have finally come to the understanding that he would be very disappointed in us for not carving... So this site is dedicated to my dad!
